Our story
Locally owned, coast proud
Dorset Leisure is a locally owned hospitality group with 6 venues across Weymouth and Abbotsbury. Everything we run, we own — and each site is shaped around the people who actually use it.
Many of our pubs and bars were recently acquired from a large pub company. Bringing them into local ownership means decisions about the beer, the food, the music and the opening hours are made here in Dorset rather than by a head office hundreds of miles away.
Taken together, the group covers a full day and a full lifetime: brunch at Rendezvous, an afternoon pint at The Royal Oak, the game at The Anchor, a late one at Baluga, a countryside night at The Ilchester Arms, and toddler sessions at Little Harbour Club.

- 01Brunch and cocktails at RendezvousRendezvous is where our day starts — bottomless brunch, all-day plates and properly made drinks in a room that fills with noise by midday.
- 02Proper pubs: The Royal OakA wet-led local we've kept exactly as it should be — quality ales, classic drinks and live music most weekends.
- 03Matchdays at The AnchorScreens in every corner and a crowd that turns up early. The Anchor is our home for live sport in Weymouth.
- 04Late nights at BalugaWeymouth's late licence. Resident and guest DJs, big lighting and a dancefloor that stays busy until close.
- 05Rooms and dining at The Ilchester ArmsOur one venue out of town, in Abbotsbury: a hotel, bar and restaurant for a slower countryside stay away from the seafront.
- 06Family time at Little Harbour ClubA play club built for 0–5s, with capped one-hour sessions so the space stays calm — proof the group is for families, not just nights out.
Six venues, one team, and a plan to keep investing in Dorset hospitality — employing local people and looking after the places locals and visitors meet.
